Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 16, 2026
Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains how PropSync ("the Extension", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data and Google user data. By using PropSync, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Data Collection
PropSync collects the minimum amount of data necessary to provide its core functionality. We collect data in the following ways:
1.1 Data You Provide
- Google Account Authentication: When you sign in with your Google account, we receive your email address and basic profile information (name and profile picture) through Google OAuth 2.0. This is used solely to authenticate your identity and associate your session with your Google account.
1.2 Data Collected Automatically
- Page Content from Supported Websites: When you manually activate the extension on a supported commercial real estate website (e.g., Crexi), PropSync reads listing data from the page you are currently viewing. This includes property details such as address, price, cap rate, square footage, and other listing fields displayed on the page. The extension does not run in the background and only collects data when you explicitly click the PropSync icon.
1.3 Google User Data Accessed
PropSync requests the following Google API scopes to function:
- Google Sheets API (
spreadsheetsscope): Used to create new spreadsheets, read existing spreadsheet data, and write/update rows in spreadsheets that you have selected to store your extracted listing data. - Google Drive API (
drive.filescope): Used to access and manage only the specific spreadsheet files created or selected by you within PropSync. We do not access any other files in your Google Drive. - User Profile (
emailandprofilescopes): Used to identify your account and display your name and email within the extension interface.
2. Data Usage
We use the collected data exclusively to provide and operate the core functionality of the Extension. Specifically:
- Extracted listing data is used only to format and write property information into your designated Google Spreadsheet.
- Google Sheets access is used only to create, read, and update spreadsheets that you have explicitly selected for storing listing data.
- Your email address and profile information are used only to authenticate your session and display your account identity within the extension.
We do not use your data for:
- Advertising or marketing purposes
- Selling or providing data to third parties
- Training AI or machine learning models
- Profiling, analytics, or tracking beyond what is necessary for the extension to function
- Any purpose unrelated to the core functionality described above
Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance: PropSync's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for purposes other than providing or improving the user-facing features of PropSync.
3. Data Storage & Security
We do not persistently store your Google user data or extracted listing data on our servers. Here is how your data flows through our system:
- Extraction: Listing data is extracted from the web page locally in your browser by the Chrome extension.
- Transmission: The extracted data is transmitted from your browser through our secure server (hosted on Vercel) via HTTPS-encrypted connections.
- Writing: The server uses your authorized Google credentials to write the data directly into your Google Spreadsheet.
- No Retention: Once the sync operation completes, no listing data or Google user data is retained on our server. The server acts as a stateless proxy and does not persist any data to disk or database.
OAuth tokens: Your Google OAuth refresh token is stored securely on the server side and is used only to authenticate API requests to Google on your behalf. Access tokens are short-lived and are not stored beyond the duration of a single request.
Client-side storage: Minimal session data (such as your email address) may be stored locally in your browser's extension storage to facilitate your experience. This data never leaves your device except as part of the sync process described above.
Security measures: All data transmissions are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Our server infrastructure on Vercel follows industry-standard security practices. We do not log or store request payloads containing user data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your Google user data with any third parties. Your data is only transferred to your own Google Drive account as part of the sync process. The only third-party service involved is:
- Vercel: Our server infrastructure provider, which processes (but does not store) your data during the sync operation.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Since we do not persistently store your Google user data or listing data, there is no retention period for this data. To manage or delete your data:
- Revoke access: You can revoke PropSync's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Security Settings. This will immediately prevent PropSync from accessing your Google data.
- Delete spreadsheet data: Any data that has already been written to your Google Sheets can be deleted directly by you within Google Sheets, as you retain full ownership and control of your spreadsheets.
- Request account deletion: To request the deletion of any account metadata (such as stored OAuth tokens or your email address), please contact us at the email below. We will process your request within 30 days.
- Uninstall the extension: Removing the PropSync extension from Chrome will delete all locally stored data associated with the extension.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of PropSync after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
