Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 5, 2026
Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains how VinylSync for Discogs ("the App") handles your personal data and Google user data.
1. Data Accessed
The App requests access to specific Google user data to function. This includes:
- Google Sheets: We access your Google Sheets to create, read, and update spreadsheets specifically selected by you to sync your Discogs order data.
- Google Profile Information: We may access basic profile information (like your email address) to identify your account and personalize your experience.
2. Data Usage
We use the accessed Google data exclusively to provide the core functionality of the App:
- To export and format your Discogs order history into a Google Spreadsheet.
- To update existing records in your spreadsheet when order statuses change.
Google Limited Use Disclosure: VinylSync's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. Data Storage & Protection
We do not store your Google user data or Discogs order data on our servers. The data flow is a direct transmission from the Discogs API through our secure bridge on Vercel and into your Google Spreadsheet. The bridge acts as a temporary processor; no data is retained in our databases after the sync is complete.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your Google user data with third parties. Data is only transferred to your own Google Drive account as part of the sync process.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Since we do not store your data, we do not have a retention period. You can revoke the App's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Security Settings. To request the deletion of any metadata associated with your account (such as your email address if stored), please contact us at the email below.
